Scene 9 - Return to the Barrio

1) i enjoyed this scene just for the simple fact that the boys won the appeal. Also because they went back to their barrio where they belong.
2)"I still can't believe it. We won! We won the appeal! (p.87)
This quote was directed to all the guys, and the girls too of course, by Lupe. Well to me this is very is very important because the boys are free. Now they can they do whatever they want and they shouldn't be judged.
3)What will the reporters do know to put the Zoot Suiters in their front pages again?

Scene 8 - The winning of the war.

1) This scene to me was kinda boring and weird because it just listed dates with the front page headlines of that date. Not much information on the pachucos but of the war going on and their winnings of it.
2)"Headline: District court of appeals decides in sleepy lagoon murder case" (p.87)
This is the last headline mentioned. It is important because it shows that even they war that their country is in is going on they still have a spot for the "Zoot siuters" in their front pages.
3) How long is the sleepy lagoon case going to be on the front page? which do the press think is more important? The riots or the war?

Scene 7 - Alice

1) This scene to me is so cute! Haha. Well... it is to me. I liked it because Henry finally got out of solitary and can now have visitors. When alice comes to visit him they both get into a huge argument but then make up and say their true feelings about each to one another. Then they both understand what each one of them is doing. Henry then appreciates what Alice is trying to do for him and the rest of the boys and why she does what she does.

2)"All the love and hate its taken to get us together on this lousy prison room." (p.84) This quote was towards Henry from alice in a prison room. I believe that this is important because it shows how the charactes in the play are changing and that they are sharing their feelings towards one another.

3)How long will Alice and Henry keep their feelings towards one another to just each other?

Scene 6 - Zoot suit riots

1)At first scene 6 was confusing but once i got to most of it i understood that how the zoot suit riots began. The sailors were the ones "hatting" on the pachucos and the press always say that the pachucos start all the fights in their headlines.

2)"were using other terms" (p.80)
The press said this sentence to pachuco. Meaning that they are using other terms for their front page stories. This sentence is particually important because the press say that they are using other terms but when i fact the are just repeating themselves by using just the "pachuco" and the "zoot suiters".

3)Is swabbie going to stay a sailor for ever?

Scene 5 - Solitary

1) I cant really say that i liked this scene because i kinda didn't but i did enjoy it and understood it. To me the pachuco in the scene was just trying to how henry the reality. But henry just wants to have faith, forget about the pachuco, get out of solitary, and especially get out of jail.
2)"I dont need you to tell me what to do." (p.78)
Here henry is in solitary and while arguing with the pachuco he replied that quote to him.
I believe that this quote is very important to the play because Henry is learning how stand up for himself as himself and not by the Pachuco.
3)Is Henry really turning the Pachuco away? Will he call him back in the future?
